Abstract

The article deals with the mechanisms of influencing the literary process of the end of XVIII – first quarter of the XIX century education policies of Catherine II, implemented by means of literature. Thus, a manifesto for the setting the noblemen free, ideologically contained in «The Tale of tsarevitch Chlorine», was vividly read by G.R. Derzhavin in «Felice» and interpreted by subsequent authors in the genre of a friendly message, and the genre of a fairy-tale poem by A.S. Pushkin in «Ruslan and Lyudmila».
